Profile: Clone_enolC

Personal background
Because there is no way to get off this mud ball (earth) my goal in life is to be frozen at death so I can be brought back in a thousand years or so, or when the average IQ increases somewhat. While I do my time here in suburbia my hobbies
include learning about physics (QED, QCD, string theory), computer science (informatics, AI), and biology (senescence).

I have degrees in Psych and Bio, I'm a Sagittarius, and I won't tell you my real name (We are all so much more complicated than our names!)

My favorite quote:
"People want economy and they will pay any price to get it."
- Lee Iacocca.

BTW, My profile image is correct (a partial skull). That is an
accurate representation of what I will look like in less than a hundred years from now (Barring cloning, brain uploading, or cryonics that actually works.)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does extraterrestrial life exist? Of course it does; What a silly question. I believe we should find them BEFORE they find us! If intelligent life in the universe is anything like us we need to find out where they are, how many of them
exist, and how best to defend against them. It is my theory that all "intelligent" life forms must evolve from beings who experience emotions. If that is true then the ET's will probably just inslave us or kill us or we will have to
obliterate them. I never liked Klingons anyway...

Should we send a signal? Yes, but only because I'm bored and perhaps a good battle with aliens would unite mankind and keep us from acting like the hairless, grunting, apes that we are. It seems we are much nicer to each other when we have a common foe.

Why do I run seti@home? Because it's more fun than a poke in the eye and perhaps something exciting will be found.

It is ashamed we spends billions of dollars on pet food, cosmetics, entertainment, and other foibles. We have become appeased slaves to our corporate & politcal masters. We could have instead solved aging, cancer, space flight, and perhaps even the TOE (Theory Of Everything, an equation that unites/explains all of physics). Oh well....I guess I should just think about dinner tonight, bananas anyone?
