| I am a 34 (about to be 35)born again Christian. I am female, married and have 5 kids (yes 5) aged 17,15,13,11,9. Though born in Southport, England (about 20miles north of Liverpool) I have been living in Belfast, Northern Ireland for 4 1/2 years. I am about to begin studies to become a systems engineer. My hobbies are wide ranged, from sewing to reading to computer games to web design. I'm not gonna put a picture of me in here, ppl might take it as incontrovertable proof of alien life! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I decided to join SETI@home because I am sick of people saying to me "you are a christian, so you can't believe in aliens" First, I can believe what I like!, secondly just because the Bible doesn't say God created aliens, doesn't mean He didn't! the Bible is the story of US and God, the rest of the universe is barely mentioned! so who knows?! The question is, what if we find alien life and they are completely unable to communicate with us? we use sound and sight to communicate, what if they use smell? what if they do not communicate in any way we have ever thought of, what if we find life AND DONT RECOGNISE IT AS LIFE??????? We may have 'alien' life living among us but be unable to see it because it exists in more (or less) dimensions than we do! The universe is such an infinite place that surely anything we can envisage must be possible somewhere, and if it isn't infinite, what starts at the end of the universe? The answers to these questions should be put on the back of a post card and posted to.........
