Personal background
I'm Algerian computer engeneer , i'm born in 06/28/1976 , i live in Constantine Algeria . I participate to the seti@home project because i'm interested by all the aspects of distributed computing over the Net . I also participate to the distributed.net RC5 project where i am more actif.

I've created a "little" teame called "Constantine University" in the seti project , and i encourage every Algerian (or other) to join my team.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I don't realy think that extraterrestrial life could be "statistically" proved to exist nowadays . But there is a chance , a little chance , and so why do not try (does who dont try nothing , get nothing). And in the case where there is a contact between Humans and "le troisieme type" , i think that humanity these days are so mediocer that any new discovery could only be benific.

2. We are already sending a lot of informations trough the wide space and if there is extraterrestrial intelligences in this universe , some of them would probably be technologicaly advenced enough to be able to detect and analysise those informations.

3. I run the seti@home client because i'm first interested by the distributed computing over the net and all the perspectives they should offer .
I think that all these computing power could serve the science in general and not only extraterestrial life , and if i have a suggestion it would be that the seti project goal be enlarged to other researchs.
