Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET: Of course there is life out there - the maths says there is! In fact I believe that there is life in our solar system - can't wait to see what they find under the ice of Europa.
The big worry is that ET would cause major religious problems - most religions would become unworkable, or they would have to change their meanings. I think that is more worrying than the tiny possibility that some aliens may come and invade us. It would cost them too much money!
