I am an IT Consultant, living and working in Glasgow, Scotland. Recently developed an interest in astronomy.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do not believe that we can be the only planet in the entire universe that supports life in all its number of forms. There must exist other planets which support life, but it will not be in the form that we can comprehend.

I think that SETI is the first steps in utilising the combined power of home PCs to search for other intelligent life forms. Other projects will be spawned from this initial work, and hopefully yield more positive results
