| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I hope to find a sign of intelligent life form outside the boundaries of our planet, though I'm aware that the chance of success for this endeavor is pretty dim. Also, I like the idea of the Astropulse project, so I also have a much more useful purpose in running SETI@Home software.
I liked the simplicity of the classic SETI@home client and the old ranking system by numbers of crunched workunits, though I'm aware that this new system. along with BOINC infrastructure, is much more helpful. I would like to have the possibility of selecting the classic visualization system, for the screensaver, the 2D old one, without any fancy 3D graphics. |
