I live in Charleston, SC. and I'm a Ham Radio operator, i'm originally from England, and I moved to the USA 4 years ago.....
The Seti computers here are a 2x 2.54GHz P4's with 1GB of Memory each
running Windows XP command line with Setispy, I keep meaning to move them over to linux to improve the speed, currently running at about 2.68 hours per unit, same machine running linux give 1.8 hours per unit....
I only recent upgraded to these computers, I was running on a PII/350Mhz for a long time, and have now seen my processing time increase day by day, average is currently 3.4 hours, so I should be up to 2.6 in a few weeks..... |
