Personal background
Hi there believers of life beyond Earth. I am 31yrs old, I love to read, I am a DJ part time, fulltime I work for Home Depot here in Toronto Canada...I truly love the idea of SETI and Seti@home....this a great way for the Global Community to share in the exploration of the Heavan's for intelligent life beyond the borders of our planet and solar system...We as humans are NAIVE to think we are THE only intelligent life in any of the galaxies "Out There"...Well enough of my thoughts....Talk to everyone soon

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes! I wholly and firmly believe there is extraterrestrial life somewhere. It would be hard to say at this point in our evolution when and how exactly life or signs of life will be found and how it will be discovered, but by doing what Berkeley is doing with SETI@home, this is at least a start. Who knows we might just find that illusive spike that confirms that "We are NOT alone". There are huge benefits to finding life out there:sharing of technology, sharing of culture and beliefs, travelling to other galaxies where the discovered life has come from or been to, just to name a few. The dangers may just as well be as huge as the benefits:discovery of malicious life bent on conquest and subjugation, or a life that is incapable of meeting with us due to dangers of virum, they may contain and therefore spread to Earth again to just name a few. Transmitting a beacon can be beneficial as we may receive an answer and again may just alert above said malicious life to our existance and whereabouts.
I run SETI as I believe the search for intelligent life is all our responsibility and we should all give a helping hand to this course as for my views I have stated many above but I commensd the project leaders and members for and the will and foresight to launch a project of this magnitude
