| My name's Waldir and I'm from Cape Verde. I always had a great interest for science and science fiction, and the idea of first contact with an extraterrestrial civilization appeals a lot to me. The Seti@home project provided me with a way to contribute to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence in a very real, tangible way. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe (of course) in extraterrestrial intelligence, and it was the will to do
something to feel that I'm really helping their search that made me join the Seti@home project.
Also, if we ever find other societies, we should be prepared to communicate with them. So, It's my opinion that we, humans, should be trying harder to comunicate with other "intelligent" species right here on Earth, like dolphins or chimps. |
