Personal background
Hi . at this point in time i am working as a short order cook . although my boss likes to refer to us as chefs . i guess i'm what you would call a jack of all trades . i have worked in every industry from auto mechanic to stage hand and sound technician . some of the things i enjoy doing are fishing , boating , bicycling , and opening things up to see how they tick . i think thats what got me interested in computers , just wanted to know what makes them tick .
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe there are et's out there , but when we will meet them is anyones guess . I think we are already sending plenty of signals into space for a more advanced society to locate . If they are less developed , or on an equal level with us , then it won't matter . I run the seti@home client because i think it is a good idea . Anything that might possibly give us even a small clue as to what is out there , or how to get out there , should be looked into . I feel we are not spending enough on space , and the exploration there of . Considering how fast we got the space race started back in the 50's and 60's , I think it is depressing that space exploration has taken such a back burner .
