I am an Analyst Programmer for a well-known US telecoms company, but I am based in the UK. I have been into computers since the days of the Sinclair ZX81 when I was ten.
Currently I am running on just two machines:
Vostro 1700 C2D laptop which is churning out units at a rate of 2 per 1 1/4 hours
Quad core q6600 / 8Gb ram only running two instances as it is my virtualization dev box
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As far as I am concerned, there has to be other life out there.. it's inconceivable that we are the only ones - if that were the case it'd be a pretty lonely place.
