Personal background
I'm a full time transit operator in the Seattle area. Love to road bike, love Macs, and ever since checking out "The Physics of Star Trek" have been fascinated with the SETI@Home 'movement'.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that there is life out there, just as there are other grains of sand in a vast beach
The day humans discover life on other planets could have been centuries ago, according to certain new age religious authors, while others say thousands of years will have to pass before our collective minds will even be open to acceptance od other, perhaps well advanced beings. 'Singular' minds are open across the world, it just seems that none are being
taken seriously by the powers that be.
Any dangers of discovery of extra terrestrial life lies in the inevitable culture shock that will occur, no doubt the Taliban will declare Jihad against them...
I use SETI@Home every day as a screensaver. It's a fantastic project!
