Yo all !
Well im currently 21 years old, and i live in Sheffield which is in Yorkshire, England.
I currently work as a civil servant for JobCentre Plus, but my goal is to get an IT job.
I have always been interested in space, and i love programs with strong sci-fi links, and my absolute favourite is Star Trek.
I just dream of going in a ship and exploring space, there is nothing more a human can want, to be the first to meet other races and make friends and to expand our knowledge.
I enjoy playing computer games, PC and Playstation 2 mostly :) and i also enjoy making model kits, many of which are Star Trek too :D

OF COURSE IT EXISTS :D
only the smallest minded of humans can dispute that, just think of all the millions and millions of stars and planets in the universe, the odds are that 1, Earth contains life is very small indeed, surely everyone can see that :)
I think we will discover other life sometime soon, as technology is progresing very fast indeed, and we may find new signal types that other lifeforms use.
i like the idea of Subspace, as in Star Trek where messages are transmitted very fast great distances across the galaxy, i think some standard form of communication is out there, we just have to find it !
As of the dangers, well maybe the aliens could transmit a nature virus or something, or maybe destroy all our technology, but i think other life forms are just like us, asking questions such as are we alone etc, and wanting to make friends and expand their knowledge.
Humans should send out beacons, but dont forget, we already have !
for example, the Voyager space craft contain a disk with all language words for hello etc with maps and pictures of Earth and humans.
Also radio and TV signals have been escaping Earth for the past 60 years or so, so one day aliens doing some sort of SETI experiment may pick up a broadcast :)
I run SETI because i have to help this great project, humans should be looking ahead, and this project does just that. Also it comes from my love of Space !
its a fantastic idea, and its proven with many candidate signals already found !
