Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
this is a silly question/ life is a function of the universe/ not some hapless accident
we are a transmitting beacon/ "other" will find it/ but we've only had radio for a shot time in terms of the distances between stars/ we should be looking at faster than light methods of communication
i feel that it is the duty of anyone with the processing power to spare to give a little to this highly under funded project/ as long as they're not secretly using it to break codes or something ;)
suggestion: updating the GUI to be a bit more informative about what kind of data processing is actually happening
