I'm a 17 year old student living in Staffordshire, England (if you don't know where Staffordshire is, it's pretty much right in the middle of the country. I live about 4 miles from Alton Towers. Still don't know where it is? Buy a map. I'm pretty proactive. Away from the computer I’m in the school Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh group (Gold Award level) and I play sport 3 times a week, including Hockey for the school 2nd Eleven Team. I'm studying for A-levels in Maths, Physics and Geography, and I need a B and 2 Cs to get into Southampton to study Oceanography. | While the whole UFO thing, conspiracy theory thing doesn't do it for me cos it's been seized by Hollywood and given a bad name by nutters who come up with statistics like 1 in 4 Americans have been abducted by aliens but just don't know it, I think aliens definately do exist, I mean, come on, look at the sky. The most recent count of all the visible stars was a number with 24 zeros after it, and those are just the ones we can see! Maybe they're at a neanderthal stage of evolution, maybe they are about the same as us, give or take a century, maybe they're at a Star Trek level or beyond, but just located on the far side of the universe so that even with warp drives, we're never going to meet up without sumper-luminal transport methods (wormholes or something). Life must exist somewhere, it's just a really creepy thought that we are the only place is the entire universe that has ever developed life... That's why I run Seti@Home, we may never contact ET but we ought to try. Hell, the fact we're trying might be the reason an Alien race chooses to make contact with us and not a third race |
