Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I think ET life probably does exist. It is a large universe. But I think it is
so far away that none of us alive now will ever realize contact. Unless
we get an answer to our broadcast RF signals like in the movie Contact.

I think we've already been sending beacons out into space. We're there if
anyone is looking.

I run SETI@home because I think that a distributed solution to this problem is
entirely appropriate...and I have spare CPU cycles that are just wasting
electricity otherwise. SETI@home has given my computers a higher purpose
in their idleness. :-) Plus it's really neat.
