1. Do I think extraterrestrial life exists?
Well, I don't know and I don't think I ever will. But it wouldn't bother me if it does. ;)
2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
I can't think of any reason for us to either do it or don't do it. I mean, if it is never found by E.T.s it doesn't do any good. If it is found, who knows if that is good or bad for us. So in my opinion, if someone is willing to spend money on it so sure, go ahead. In any case I don't think I'm still alive and kicking if there will be a result from it.
3. Why do you run SETI@home?
I guess I think the idea of using computers from all around the world in a gigantic distributed system is somewhat cool. |
