I'm a graduate from Penn State that majored in computer engineering - go lions! Now working for a major nutrition company using UNIX, UNIFACE, and Oracle.
Living near Pittsburgh PA I follow the Penguins and Steelers religiously. I also spend a lot of time (more than I should) on the computer. You may also find me from time to time on a hockey rink.

The Drake equation makes it seem likely, however I guess the real issue is that will time and space constraints prevent us from ever making contact...
I think we should transmit all kinds of things, beacons-probes-signals-spaceships....we don't live long enough to wait light years for a response; we might as well do it up while we're here!
Running seti@home is my way of contributing to the search effort, it's a good cause and it makes sense to put our lazy cpus to work! I also enjoy the technology side of things. |
