Personal background
I'm a 28yr old software engineer living and working from home near Edinburgh in Scotland.

Originally I came here with my co-pilot Michael Jordon, from a little planet called Cavlar, but we and our 700 passengers have been readily accepted here on earth. Cavlar is, like earth, the third planet in our solar system, but ours is a binary system - 2 suns. It is just to the left of the milky way, so not too far for going home in the holidays.

I like Earth's simply way of life, but I do wish you would all stop killing each other! And scientists - you must get over this 'speed of light' limitation you have placed on your physics - anti-matter is the future. Just bend space time and make two points co-exist in the same moment, 'step' over the gap and bob's your uncle.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My PC is on most of the time and I am just typing code and running little progams for my work. I run SETI as a background task all the time - it can have the rest of the processor time (and there is plenty of spare power).

Do I think there is life on other planets..
"I don't know Sparks, but I would say that, if it is just us - it seems like a awful waste of space"
- 'Contact', Carl Sagan

I believe we are already transmitting a beacon into deep space, but I am unaware of the content. I believe we should be communicating through the universal language of mathematics. Wherever you go in the universe, 3 is still 3, but language as we know it will differ.

I hope this project does discover something - it must be the best known ET project in history with so many people taking part. It deserves to work.
