Personal background
I am from Maine and I am an educator. I believe in a force greater than us (God) but not convinced it is the same God that so many die for (in the middle east and around the world). God is good and would not propagate that kind of sufferring.

I love the outdoors, am married (23 years) with children (but with many friends that live an alternative lifestyle), and truly love the human spirit. My core values reflect these beliefs along with honesty and integrity.

The universe is too big for God to have put life on just one planet. It exists and someday we will know where. I just hope I am a live to see the discovery!

My home page is http://www.ppcturner.org Hope to see you there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have felt for a long time that life exists outside our little "spaceship" earth. If God put us here (and I believe he did), why would he have stopped here? His playground is huge with a lot of potential to "experiment".

Like in the movie "Contact", life may contact us when they feel we are ready. With this theory, we have already been visited. Given the conquering nature of our species (and mistrust of others), if I were ET, I would NOT contact us just yet. As a species, we have a lot of maturing to do.

I run SETI@home to help in the posible discovery of life from away. Certainly the power of the exponent - powerful computers throughout the world searching makes what would be impossible by one , probably by 1000's. Keep up the good work.
