Hey There,

I decided to join Seti@Home cause
I saw an article on it in a magazine and it sounded interesting.

I have always been reverent of the thought that we will make
contact with someone somewhere.  I’d say
they are prolly doing the same thing on their planet, searching the skys to
find intelligent life.  Well if they
find earth, they may not find much, but they will find something.

I would love to see the Seti project turn up something that
wil prove to the world that we aren’t all nuts.  It doesn’t even have to be intelligent life, just knowing there
is any other form of life out there somewhere would be great.

I never used to keep my computers running but after finding
the Seti@Home project, I now leave them on and I’ve
even gone and got a whopper to help crunch those WU’s.

The latest addition is a beauty, Dual Intel Xeon 2.8Gig CPU’s,
2 Gig RAM, 240 Gig SATA RAID HDD space.
The dual 2.8 Gig Xeon CPU’s are hyperthreaded which means that I can now
do 4 WU’s at once, each running on it’s own processor.

I don’t care if I am the one to process the WU that finds
them, just knowing that I am a part of the team is enough.

Cheers,

Adam
