| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I think the entire concept of SETI is brilliant. Rather than depend on a certain group of people with supposedly super-powered computers, it depends on the masses giving their own PC power to digest all the information. From one of my engineering courses I think what is going on here is termed "data mining", and what better way to do this than my the biggest parallel processor made? With technology racing along as it is, I believe the entire SETI @ home program will help us find more about our universe faster than many realize. |
