Personal background
My name is jean-christophe. i'm 22 and a multimedia student in belgium.

I heard of the seti a long time ago (before i first watched star trek and read contact) and was waiting for an internet connection to use the software.

Space and stars are something fascinating for me but all i can do about it is gazing at it.

Using this piece of software is the least thing i could do.

I like drawing, playing the guitar, having fun with friends and reading, watching and telling stories.

And i love my studies: graphism, draw, video, sound, anthropology :).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Of course it does. I don't know how it looks like but i'm sure there are plants and chemical reactions somewhere else in the universe. I don't mean vulcan or wookies.. a little tiny living thing like a bacteria is enough. And it's impossible that something like that would only exist on earth.

Benefits and dangers lie only in humanity's intentions.

2. We already do by being alive no? i mean our radio waves, electronic pulse and so on are proof we exist if someone was looking for us. Sending a probe would be like throwing a drop in the ocean and hoping for a baectaria to find it.. but it sounds funny so we should do it. So if someone catch that probe or the beacon they would think we are funny. :)

3. See my profile.

Suggestions: make a new design for the site. it's not attractive at all.. hey! maybe i can do it? as soon as i can work on it i send something.
