Hello and thank for viewing my profile. My name is Dale Boggess III and im a 20 year old male from West Virginia. Yes, High tech redneck. I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Science was always my best subject in school. I learned of SETI from a friend and fellow trekie back in '99. Back when it took 13 - 14 hours of processing time per work unit :) So nice having a faster pc and I'm slowing watching my average processing time come down from the old days. I'm currently looking for a new group to join, I'm the only active member in my starting group now. I'm hoping I might get user of the day one day and meet someone with the same intrests as me that i may join their group.
Other than a big Star Trek fan I also am a huge Star Wars fan, and I'm counting the days till the last new movie. I'll be one of the ones that camps out for first night showing tickets.
Science class never satisfied my craving for space. They just don't teach enough about it. So I turned to the net to fill that part of my need to know. I'm thankful for projects like SETI that not only help in increasing the desire to learn but help in the exploration of space at the same time.
And I believe that its just a matter of time before we pick up on something big guys, keep up the hard work. |
