Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think personally that we would have to be without dought the most stupid creatures in the universe to beleave we were the only life and nearly as stupid still to think that we are the only intelligent form of life even in our own "local" supercluster, my only main fear is that we beleave the likes of "startrek" and think that we will be surrounded by races @ similar points of technological advancment when i would hazzard a guess that some would not be as advanced while others would be millions or maybe billions of years in advance of us and see us as no more than bactiria, we have been broadcasting our presance for over a centuary now ...what with t.v and radio waves...they have already reached a hundred light years into space so everyone in our locality (if anyones that close) will be aware of us , i only have one thing i can say about this and that is the fact that mankind is entering a very dangerous time and we will have to wake up to the possibilitys and advance or die!
