I'm 35 years old. I live on a farm which takes most of my work and hobbie time. As you can tell from my user name I am a huge Superman fan. We can only hope that we contact a race as advanced as the Kryptonians.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In answer to question #1 Yes, I do think there is ET life, I would hope that we will discover ET life in the next 20 years or so but I think it is more than likely to happen within the next 100 years, the dangers of that discovery are as endless as the possiable benefits. In answer to question to question #2, yes I do think we should transmit a beacon for others to find. I would send send location based on our position in the universe as best as we know it as well as some simple pictures and associated words in different languages so they would have the simple building blocks to learn our languages. In answer to question #3 I run SETI@home in the hope that we will make some form of contact with ET's in my life time.
