| I dont really know if extraterrestrial life exists. But I'm pretty convinced that we will never find it in its power. We may find remnants of them, we may find it in its early stages, but even that is pushing it. The distances are just too huge. Even if we find some proof of ET life out there, it will be too far for us to reach, or for them to reach us for that matter. The odds are just against us. Lets say there is intelligent life out there and its sending out signals that we can read. We have been searching only for a "couple of years" now so detecting them would be very fortunate. But if it does exists, we better find them before they find us. If they are friendly, no harm in finding them first. If they are not, ... |
