Personal background
I am 15 years and live in Norway. When I have some time to spare, I surf the net or program applications (I have made a web-browser called WilBrowser that can be downloaded from http://damsleth.com/).

When I don't do computers, I play golf.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course extraterrestrial life exists, but I don't thin that we will discover them. I think that they will discover us, because they have most likely discovered manu other sivilisations before.

I think it would be very exciting to know another life-form. The danger might be that "they" are evil (like the "Independence Day"-movie), but why sould they be evil? I see no reason for it.

We shouldn't wory about transmitting beacons for ET's to find. They will find us in a way. Maybe "they" don't even use radio communications to communicate?

I run SETI@home because I don't want to waste my computer energy, and it's fun to know that your computer actually is searching for life in the universe.
