Personal background
I grew up in Michigan in a very small town. I spent many a summer night on the hill out back of our house looking up at the stars. After high school I went to college to pursue a career in Computer information systems, but alas wasn't meant to be. While I enjoy my computers I found that eight hours in front of a computer day after day isn't my forte. I needed human contact so I entered the retail field and found that IT was my calling. I make decent money and I enjoy what I do.. who could ask for more?? Currently single but working on that situation as time will allow.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe in God. My friends ask, "how can this be that you believe in God but profess to believe in extraterrestrial life?" The answer to me is simple. According to the Bible, God created Eve because he saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone. For this reason I feel it is also true that God would not feel that it would be good for Humankind to be alone and would therefore create other races for us to "discover" as we became evolved enough. Also what amount of arrogance does it take for us to assume that whether or not you believe in God or a higher being that we would be the only ones in this LARGE universe that would be created or evolve.
