| I'm a 19 year old Computer Networking Engineer from Yorba Linda, California. I have 3 machines at home right now, although I'm working on getting 2 more and I only run the client on 1 machine at the present time. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I think extraterrestrial life exists and I think humans already have discovered it, just not publicly. The possible benefits and dangers are endless; it all depends on if the species we discovered was peaceful or aggressive I suppose. If we were to send information, I think we should send a little taste of our culture... History, music, pictures, perhaps even religious documents, although I frown on religion. I run SETI@home because at least 90% of the time my machines are idle, so they might as well be doing something. My views on the project? I think it's a good idea, not sure if it will necessarily work though.. |
