VP, Integrated Supply Chain of a design and manufacturing company that produces hazardous area rated "fixed" gas and fire detectors in sunny Canada. Mid forties, hobbies include golf, hockey, martial arts, and spending time with my wife. Total Sci-Fi fan from X-Files to Star Trek and hope that we will make first contact in my life time.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET life exists. I believe that we will make contact in our life time. Whether contact is beneficial or dangerous is the big crap shoot of the project. All depends on whether we discouver the Vulcans or the Klingons.

Yes we should send a beacon. It should say if you're nice, come visit if you're not, wrong number!

I run SETI @ home because I'm as anxious to find ET as the project team(s). Keep growing and the government should provide more funding.
