Personal background
Hi
I am a retired Oilfield Tech, Used to work for Corporate America (20 years) but grew tired of Mega company politics and their exploitation of Non US countries and citizens (Think Unocal Burma).
I come from England and was classified as a "Third country National" Suspiciously close to "Third world" methinks!

I live peacefully in the Thai Rainforest now and listen to all the stress of life in the west on my Satellite radio!

I crunch all my WU's offline at home and upload weekly from a friends connected PC in the local town.

Pc Specs
Athlon XP2500 O/C FSB182 multiplier 11 = 2000mhz (stable)
1 Gyg 333 ram
Seti Command line client "08" running on a "Superspeed" 30 Mb ramdisk
.....(HD's can shut down during processing)
Water cooled to 10 deg C over ambient @ full load
Gforce FX5600 for Eye candy & games!

About 3 hours for an average WU.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Hi Fellow Crunchers
As I cruise through my "mid life crisis" I need something to cling to and what better than the excitement of watching my PC relentlessly searching for a superpower greater than the present monopoly held by our transatlantic cousins :P Should be interesting if Aliens do show up and try to muscle in on the superpower monopoly! The cry will go up "Interstellar terrorists"
The rest of the world will welcome them I am sure!

I suspect that "National security" (American) plays a big role in why ET must be found before they find us! I bet the CIA and other agencies will be all over Berkeley locking it down tight if anything is found! "Area 51" ring a bell?

Anyways I will do my part for less sinister reasons! Join my group if you have no current affiliation and agree with my assesment!

Join my fledgling group "Say_no_to_War. "ET"_For President"
