Personal background
I became involed about a year and a half ago by my Fiancee' who is now my Husband. Within SETIPrime I have met wonderful and very helpful people.
I have been within the medical field for over 17 years from an EMT to Trama to working with the handicapped. I've seen more at times then I wish I ever had and many times have ended up with nightmares of some of the horror.
I have currrently made the full move to the UK from the States and it wasn't as bad as some had made it out to be. The worst part is the rain, but the scenery is much better then any place in the States that I have lived before. Out any front room window you can see Lincoln Cathedral which was built around the 11th Century. The chimes are beautiful and go off one the hour and half hour.
I currently am owned by a Bunny (Hershey) and two Mice (Sami-Stewart and Hitch *not from Hitchhiker's Guide*). You can see them on they website, http://krittervision.camarades.com/ Daytime is Bunny and evenings are Mice. (when they're awake)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I fully believe that an ET exists, how we'll find it is anyone's guess. But I believe they are out there to help us, not harm us. If they are actually flying over here, look at all they can possibly offer the human race alone!

I know we have at least one beacon out in space, and personally think we should send out at least one a year so that we have a better chance to find what really is out there. I think what we sent on the first beacon should be repeated. IE the gold record, table of elements, human anatomy and so forth.

I didn't want to do SETI@home at first because I thought it would kill my machine, but now I see how much fun it is I'm sad I waited so long! No real suggestions about the project, other then we need more team members!
