Profile: Kenneth Lissau

Personal background
Name: Kenneth Lissau
Age : 37

Married, 2 children, 1 girl 12 years, 1 boy 5 years old.

I've always been interested in the exploration of space and what lies beyond our own solarsystem, wanted to become a pilot and later testpilot, but i failed the eye examination, thus giving up a boyhood dream of becomming an astronaut, since my grades didn't meet the requirements to get into astrophysics.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I follow everything concerning aircraft development and space exploration, the new spacestation in my opininon is only the first step in a longranging goal of establishing a permanent base of operations on the moon, from where farther reaching space missions can launch with targets such as Mars and maybe in 100 years beyond even our own solarsystem, some may say that this goal is unatainable, but if we look how far mankind has come in the last 100 years, i don't think that such a goal as leaving our own solarsytem is impossible, although i think if more funds were available we could reach that goal much faster.

In the long run, i think we need to take a long look at the theories of quantum physichs and the theories of Dr. Stephen Hawking, some call his ideas ludicrous, I DON'T, just think of what people were called not more than 300 years ago when they dreamed of going beyond the established community's ideas of how the world functioned, or even the Wright brothers idea of flying, noone thought then that we would be going to the moon or even leaving the the earth's gravity for that matter, those who thought that and spoke out, where called crazy dreamers, but where would we be without them??

PEOPLE WHO DARE TO DREAM ARE OUR FUTURE!!
