Profile: James M. Bertok

Personal background
Self-employed network contractor and consultant in Riverside, CA. My SETI participation is powered largely by a 2.5kw/hr. battery-backed photovoltaic system of my own design. Some of my other hobbies include metal fabrication, automotive performance, and anything electrical. I fix stuff.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The prime workunit processing system consists of: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Asus X79-E WS board with i7-4930K, 32GB 2400MHz. DDR3, Adaptec 81605ZQ with 12 SAS drives and SSD cache, and 3 EVGA GTX 980 S/C cards, 1500-watt PSU. (No over-clocking) It runs 24/7 and has many other duties too including being my primary workstation, a/v editor, web server, solar data logger, DLNA server, VM Host, surveillance NVR, remote admin console, and plenty more.
