I'v been working in the internet space for quite a few years... with a varied backround in electronics .. currently retired after I fell from a 2nd story roof and broke my back L1,2,3and 5...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes life on other planets is a given as the number of planets is quite staggering.
2. Yes we should transmit a beacon ... that we the people of earth are alive and would be an asset to any other life forms who encounter our beacon.
3. It would be great to communicate with other life forms. I feel the project has merit and could be the greatest thing we on the 3rd planet from the star known as sol, ever do.
