I am from Annapolis MD and I am very big into computers. I am 16 years old and have a internship at a local engineering company. I am also an Eagle Scout and I love backpacking. My life is still computers though. No matter where I am I want to be on a computer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life now thats an interesting topic. I belive that there is life out there if they are still around. I think that we are in like a long line of the many faces that the "everything" goes though. Right now I just think that we are in the face that has life. I hope that this will help lead to a discovery for us to learn more about whats out there. I also belive that we need to learn from history and look at what happened in the past and imply it to today. I think everyone needs to look back and descide for themself about what we should do if we find extraterrestrial life. But right now we should just try to find if there is any that we can trace. Lets take it one step at a time and the step being SETI@home to help the search.
The biggest view that I have in this project is that I think it could be getting its programs to be place in different areas to help speed the process up. Maybe getting the government to let it be place on public library computers or other public computers like at the different schools that only get used durring a small fraction of the day. Lets see our tax dollars getting used smarter.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
