Personal background
Hello fellow curious ones,

My name is Edward, and I am from Nova Scotia, Canada. I am 27, and am a Computer Technician and Cashier at a Local Store. I am interested in computers, computer gaming, and astronomy.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe in E.T. Whether we have been visited already, or will be in the future, I am not sure (Space is vast and mostly empty)... But, with common sense, when ya have sooooo many stars, in sooooo many galaxies, one must admit the chances of there being only one planet with life? Pretty remote I think...

I don't think we will have a visit in my life time, for sure... If we do, the possibilities are as infinite as there are personalities in the world... Would they be interested for curiosity? That would be good and perhaps we could learn from one another... Would they be interested in Planetary resources only, not inferiour being? That would be bad, did you see Independence Day?

Humans should never stop exploring space... For if we are lucky enough to last long enough (I doubt it), someday the sun will burn out or a catastophy will befell us, and we will need to move... Or we will run out of resources, and need space to survive... Either way, we must not stop learning and pushing the frontier, for that is who we have always been...

Why do I run SETI@home? I like Space science... Never hurts to try and help... And I have a fast computer that is idle most of the day, might as well make some use out of it...

Keep up the good work SETI!!! Thank-You to the sponsers... And thanks to all that participate... (hopefully the govenments will stop cutting funding to space exploration as a whole)...

Edward
