I'm from the UK, and have spent most of my life as a computer operator, and a transport planner. I've always been interested in computers, cats, gardening, reading, crosswords, lager, wine, and lots of other things that might not be that good for a person.
I've lived all over the UK, but now live in a small market town.
I found SETI when I tried o find the UD project. Now they both run - on different computers - almost continuously allowing for operattor and server delays.
I hope to run SETI on a Linux Mandrake computer, as soon as I work out how to do it. This is our little file server, so I don't want to upset it.

I do believe that there is life beyond earth, and it is only a matter of time before we find it.
I don't seriously expect to be the one to discover it, I am motivated being part of a massive team of people and computers.
