My hobbies include hunting, sport shooting and pursuing an understanding of our state and federal constitutions and the people who helped to draft them. I am an avid participant in my neighborhood and also actively promote the individual right to bear arms. |

Is there intelligent life in the universe? Judging by the picture above, we may have a better chance of finding it by looking out to the heavens than we would hanging out in some crowds closer to home! Seriously, it would appear that there are a great many worlds out there and the odds that Earth is the only one that is inhabited must be astronomically slim. You can learn a lot by just listening, it isn't going to hurt anything to do that!
Regardless of the outcome of the search, the SETI, and now BOINC, project has been an unparalleled expression of cooperative effort. A reverent tip of my hat to the millions of participants! |
