Profile: Moray

Personal background
I'm 31 (God, let me check that.......yes, it's right damn it.....) living in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

I work for an organisation which creates clinical guidelines for the healthcare professions by reviewing and summarising relevant medical evidence.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run S@H? I came across the website over 2 years ago, following a link in Focus magazine if memory serves. Back then, there were far fewer "ordinary" people like me signed up, but the volume of non-specialists who are involved now is testimony to the fabulous idea of pooling and sharing spare CPU cycles.

If only mankind could be persuaded to share other resources, problems which are far more soluble than the SETI one might be significantly reduced.

By the way, this pic is about 6 years old now - apologise for the "fromage-factor", but I couldn't lay my hands on a better one at work!
