Hi!
My name is Catherine, and I'm a work-from-home website retailer,
selling gifts and other cool stuff.

After 15 years as an analytical chemist, followed by 12 years as
an accountant/comptroller for a 2nd lab, I FINALLY realized that
getting up and going to work every day was for the birds. So here
I am, a real live entrepreneur!! 

SETI is a really great project, even though I doubt we'll ever find
anything meaningful. The distances involved are simply so VAST.
We could have next-door neighbors (in terms of the size of the universe)
yet never know they were there. So sad.  But we'll keep trying!!

I run SETI@home simply because I so desperately wish for our species to
discover intelligent life elsewhere in the universe.  I really don't believe we have a chance, because of the vast distances involved, but I remain hopeful.

In addition, just the project itself holds a real allure for me. Something
about listening to the "sounds of space" just intrigues me, and i want to be a part of it.

I would like to see SETI@home increase communications with it's participants.
Periodic email updates on the project status, and an overview of plans for the project, would be great.
