Greetings from K.B. which is short for the kingdom of Bahrain ............ and if u never heard of us over here than that should make u realize how big Earth is... and earth is just another planet in the solar system. So who knows what’s out there.
Well I’m 18 and a student. Other than studying and computers there isn’t much to do over here but look out at space and wonder about stuff.................. I mean just looking up at the sky u see about a billion stars... who knows if any are inhabited by aliens, Or solar systems which house a variety of extra terrestrial life forms...........
I have a Pentium 2 of 450 Mhz which is basically a kind of slow PC and I do about one unit in 15 hours...........but I just want to do my part and take an active role in helping us scan the horizons for a new frontier.... another species of life forms and technological advancements if there are any out there... but come one Space is huge so the chances are quite good.... now lets talk about seti.........
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well let’s discuss SETI shall we
Well firstly I think that there is a large possibility of E.T. life forms existing..................... I mean SPACE IS VAST man........... The person who is likely enough to help prove me right is probably going to be another SETI user.................... If not then at least we helped in charting the work units we Uploaded and helped that person Find these ALIENS.......... the benefits are going to be vast... I think that once we discover aliens its going to drive us towards improving our own space technology and probably try to extend our hand of friendship to these beings who will probably help us advance in an even greater deal... the only danger is of us not seeing their existence is that we will continue going about our current business of Annihilating our selves thru these pointless battles and acts, making it even harder for us to do what we has been instilled in us to do and that is EXPLORE and to satisfy our curiosity about the cosmos..
Sending a beacon is probably the lazy but still an appropriate way of going about extending our hands out for friendship. I mean aren’t we self efficient enough to go about building a space vessel so that we can go about FIRST CONTACT in person.................. however sending a beacon and then creating a space vessel is probably the right thing to do... the beacon to prepare the aliens for us... and tell them we know they are out there and we wish to interact with their species... but I mean anything is possible we could probably build a space craft that would house a beacon or SETI could help us understand a beacon (if one was sent) and prepare us for the arrival of the aliens...... so its the next best thing to do
Why do I run seti??? Simple... I want to do my part... I want to be able to sit back and be honest with myself and say I helped in searching for them... and how knows maybe I get lucky enough and find them my self............................
