Personal background

Hello =)

I'm a 15 year old high school student living in Vancouver, BC. I swim competitively, play classical guitar and work on my website. I also LOVE reading and painting Warhammer 40k miniatures. Be sure to check out my site, www.spunge.org/~mook. Drop me a line and tell me what you think of it =)

By the way, you should all make your very own geek code =) Go to www.geekcode.com/geek.html and make your very own customized geek code ;)

Afterwards go to www.ebb.org/ungeek to see if you coded your geek code properly (you'll just get an error if you did it wrong) and also decode other peoples geek code =)

You can find my geek code at www.spunge.org/~mook/mygeekcode.html

Later =)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

I think that without a doubt ET life does exist. I find it really hard to believe that in all the entire universe that our planet is THE only planet in the entire universe with intelligent life on it. Just doesn't make much sense when you think about it. When will humans discover it? That's the real question I think. I don't really think that man is ready now for something that amazing, to come into contact with ET life. I honestly don't know how, or when humans will discover ET life. As for the benefits and dangers... That's another thing that we'll have to wait and see what happens... Although, warp drives would kick ass =)

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

I think that we should send a message, but not now. The people of earth are too separated and divided... Some what hard to explain, but I think you know what I mean.

Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I run SETI@home because I believe that something is out there. And the screensaver looks good ;)
