Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
is there something out there? if you are religious, do you consider angel/spirits/demons/deities a form of ETs? (i read some dont hail as being from earth or earthly origins). if demensional travel is possible, and travelers are from an alternate earth ... are they considered ETs? further how would we be able to pick up inter-demensional signals as ET transmitted? would we ignore a signal because it looked earthlike in origin? of all the possibilities, are we looking for enough? can suns/planets be used as transceivers? are the earth anomalies known as the 12 bermuda triangles an effect of planet/sun-ceiver transmission? imagine being caught in a transmission (does that make things non existant? - remember you can get fried standing in a microwave beam of ceratin power). can ETs travel in time. could we detect their transmissions if they did? and if a wrinkle in time/space exists ... are we ignoring ET signals because they dont have the qualifying doppler (or other) effects since they are short distance transmissions?
