| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

However small the probability of finding intelligent life by this means, I still think it is our responsability to undertake this search. The impact of a positive finding on our culture would be immense and would no doubt cause many of us to see our lives in a different light. I hope this project continues.
The main reason I run seti@home is for my own satisfaction, knowing that in some very small part I can help contribute something, and that is rewarding in itself.
I have not run seti@home for long but would be interested in dedicating more proccesing power to the project. Is it possible to process the units quicker by using more resources or alternative software? |
