Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I strongly belive that extraterrestial life exists. The universe is so wast that there have to be more sentinent beings. If not it is an awfull amount of wasted space. Dont you think? What we have to consider is that humas maby is the most developed sentinent beings in the universe. That there are other coltures but that they maby are in a preindustrial age all of them. If not I thik we, when we get first conntact, will benefit a whole lot technichally. What I want for humas the most is the possibility for interstellar space travel. However I think we will benefit more from geting all our questions answered. The dangers is that is the first conntact is not organised maby widespred pannic will ocure. The reaction in Independence Day before all hell brakes lose is a quite normal one.

2. Of course we should transmit a beacon. We want other species to know that we are here. Sending out a becon could be like an invitation then we leave it to them if they want to visit us.

3. I´d love to be alive when first conntact occures. By helping the SETI project maby one of our questions will be answered before one is dead and buried: Does extraterrestrial live really exist?
