Personal background
Hi, my name is Adrian Raez and I am a student from Switzerland.

I am currently running the SETI@home client on following computers:

- AMD Athlon 1,533GHz, 265MB DDR-RAM

- Apple Power Macintosh 7600, 120MHz PowerPC CPU, 40MB RAM
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

In my opinion, extraterrestrial life definatly exists, but I don't think we would be able to devolop a method of communicating over such long distances.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

Tricky Question - We don't know how ET's comunicate, so I would communicate in a universal language - example: Mathematiks or Pictures. I'd send infomation on the location of earth and the solar system and a picture of DNA, of Humans, of Cells, of Molecules etc.

The Aliens would probably find out, that the infomation comes from an other life form.

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I run SETI@home because I think it's a good idea and because my PC runs all the time anyway, so I can 'donate' my spare CPU-time to SETI
