Personal background
I am the son of Boyd and Rodica who are happily retired in south Florida. I have a beautiful "new" wife (as of 5/29) named Michelle and wonderful friends all around the world. I spend most of my time working to maintain and build a life style for my wife and me.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and learning about everything this world has to offer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti @ home because there is life outside of planet earth located in the milkyway galaxy. I believe this project is an extreme long shot in finding other life, but is a good start in our very young lives. Until we are able to physically explore other solar systems and galaxies, the chances of being found or finding other life is almost nill.

My only suggestions are to better market space exploration and experimentation projects. Ever since the space race and the land on the moon, no other projects have excited the majority world which is unfortunate. Exploration and the use of "Space" for experimentation is critical to our long term understanding of chesmistry, physics, and our existance and creation (not to mention exploration of our own Oceans and Seas). Critical to the survivial of funding and enthusiam is reaching out to the world community and exciting the world about the good, the mistakes, benefits, and goals of "space" exploration and experimentation.
