Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Is there any life out there? Must do "coz' there's sod all down here on Earth" *Monty Python, Meaning of Life. Maybe it'll shock some sense into our ahem Leaders/Polititans etc.

Should we be careful about radio signals? Marconi should have thought about that when he was playing with Radio waves... Too late to worry and unless ET is running faster than light travel, I don't reckon many of us will be around when they arrive.

What information to send? James Brown, "I feel Good".

When I found out about Seti@home the first thing I did was put on as many of my machines as possible. It brought out a whole new view on the possiblities of the Internet to do good. Pity the Cancer research and drug jobs had too many questions over who owned the results, rather than going to Humanity.

Suggestions - more optimised clients to take advantage of systems/processor capability. What about working with Sun etc on making Grid aware clients - that could be awesome.

Great work.
